Individual Therapy Fees

The rate for a 55-minute individual session is $175.

Couples Therapy Fees

Couples therapy requires time for each partner to share and process fully and for there to be enough time to honor the many layers explored within a single session.  Because of this, couples sessions are longer than a traditional individual session. Each couples session is approximately 90 minutes in length at the rate of $300 per session.

Group Rates

One great advantage of group work is that you get access to quality care + a powerful experience at a much lower rate than individual therapy.  Additionally, group work allows for members to connect and learn in a different–sometimes deeper–way. Group rates are set based on group-by-group basis.  Learn more about group at my Groups tab and contact me with questions.

Payment Methods

All payments are due at the end of the session.  Cash, check, and credit cards, including HSA/FSA (health/flex savings account) cards, are accepted.

Insurance

I don’t bill through health insurance.  Feel free to click here to learn more about that decision.  Many clients wanting out-of-network reimbursement may need receipts called “superbills” that I’m happy to provide. Please let me know if you’d like a monthly superbill.

I am unable to charge Medicaid for services pursuant to the Colorado Code of Regulations (8.012.2.C) and therefore unable to see clients covered under Medicaid.

Scholarships and Reduced Rates

I want therapy to be accessible while still maintaining a sustainable therapy practice.  I understand that clients may be experiencing financial duress, and I don’t want that to interrupt their care.  Therefore, I have set amount of need-based scholarships available for active, current clients.  Despite any scholarship or discount, first sessions are always at full rate.

I currently discount rates (first session still at full rate) for the following groups:

  • seniors (65+)
  • teachers (K-12)
  • parents who have welcomed in a new child (first year)

Discounts may not be stacked or used in combination with one another.

Other Options

If my services are not within your budget, please consider these valuable resources:

  • The nearby Wheat Ridge offices of Connections Counseling has some great affordable therapy options.  Learn more here: https://www.connectionscounseling.net.
  • Another great option to consider is Open Path Collective, which is a non-profit that helps folks find nearby providers offering a reduced rate to members (membership costs a $60 one-time fee).  Sessions then cost $30-60 per session for individual children or adults in therapy, and $30-80 per session for couples/family therapy.
  • Some affordable, nearby counseling options can also be found at this resource page: https://www.opencounseling.com/colorado/wheat-ridge.
